Valuable Employee In An Unsuitable Role
It has been said that: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to run, it will live its whole life believing there’s something wrong!”
Sometimes you may find a valuable employee languishing in a role that is not suited to their own skills, capabilities and/or desires. It would be a waste, having invested valuable resources in them already, to let them go rather than attempt to find a more suitable fit internally. This phenomenon is often referred to as the “square peg, in a round hole” syndrome.
We understand the challenging and sensitive nature of these situations only too well. Our experience and tools enable us to accurately evaluate these situations and develop effective strategies to remedy them. We find that this course of action is mutually-beneficial and often preferable to the alternate options.
Our key areas of service include:
- Development of appropriate strategies
- Monitoring and reporting
- Situation analysis
- Support and coaching through implementation
